Red Lion the latest business to join Local Buyers Club

Popular Stoke Newington pub the Red Lion is offering 10% off Monday-Friday evenings to members of the Local Buyers Club.

The pub on Stoke Newington Church Street recently came under new ownership and has undergone some wonderful improvements. The rooms are lighter and brighter, most of the fixtures and fittings have been replaced and there’s a new audio/visual system.

The kitchen has also been vastly improved with a stone-based pizza oven and among the new staff is a talented Italian chef who has been cooking up a storm.

“We want everyone to feel welcome here”, said The Red Lion's owner Peter Myers. “It’s interesting to see how the demographic changes; from families with children in the daytime (kids are welcome until 8pm) to those ready to party in the evening. We’re open until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights and have a guest DJ joining us on Fridays.”

Basil Fansa of the Local Buyers Club added: “We love The Red Lion and are thrilled they’ve decided to offer discounts to our members. The pizzas are delicious and their garden is a great place to hang out in the summer.”

Among the local companies supplying The Red Lion are: 40ft brewers in Dalston, Redchurch Brewery (Bethnal Green), Beaverstown Brewery (Tottenham), Our Vodka (London Fields) and The Five Points Brewing Company (Hackney).
